— Fabian M. H. Schellhaas

I’m a doctoral student in social psychology at Yale University, where I work primarily under the tutelage of Jack Dovidio. I’m broadly interested in social and political psychology, and passionate about using advanced statistics to generate insights into the dynamics of intergroup life.

My primary work focuses around the psychological processes involved in cross-group interactions and the adoption of inclusive social identities. Specifically, I research how these processes relate to prejudice, power dynamics, and the motivation (or lack thereof) to take collective action for social change – which I have investigate in a variety of cultural and intergroup contexts, using a diverse set of methods.
